Clients must be 16 or over. Programs aimed at minimising the harm associated with the use of tobacco, alcohol, illicit drugs & pharmaceuticals for residents of the Western Sydney Area.

Aim to assist families struggling as a result of drug use to cope with the realisation of their situation and to survive it intact. Offers counselling, family therapy, community drug awareness forums, referrals to treatment and rehabilitation services, etc. FDS provide a seven day, 24 hour telephone line, manned by volunteers offering help to diffuse crisis, proffering strategies for coping and giving any information required.

The Construction Industry Drug and Alcohol Foundation (CIDAF) - through Foundation House - provide a range of drug and alcohol services specially targeted to the needs of building workers, including a residential rehab program, assessment, counselling relapse prevention services, and family support to construction industry personnel.

Provides a range of services including detox, rehabilitation, counselling and referral services.  When appropriate, dependant children of residents may also receive accommodation and support to help minimise the adverse effects of their parent's problems.

Rehabilitation, assessment, referral and counselling services. Also provide a telephone support and referral service for young people.  

Programs include: PALM (Program for Adolescent Life Management) - a residential program of up to three months for young people aged 14 to 18 years with serious alcohol or other drug related difficulties who wish to take back control of their lives. Telephone enquiries and referrals can be received Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.

Programs offered include:

  • New Beginnings - a residential therapeutic program.  It is a service for women and run exclusively by women
  • MTAR (Methadone To Abstinence Residential) - A program to assist clients to reduce off methadone while learning the skills necessary to live drug free.
  • Metro Mens - Provides a safe and secure environment where men who suffer from drug abuse and related problems can concentrate on their recovery.
  • WHOS Hunter Valley - Provide an environment for recovery from drug abuse where AOD workers provide group and individual counselling
