  • Crimes (Administration of Sentences) Act 1999 No 93
    An Act to consolidate and amend the law with respect to the administration of certain sentences; and for other purposes including drug testing inmates and correctional staff.
  • Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act 1999 No 92
    An Act to consolidate and amend the law with respect to the sentencing of offenders; and for other purposes. This includes legislating the power of courts to release an offender pending sentence in order to assess the offender’s behaviour and capacity for rehabilitation for problems such as drug dependencies before imposing the sentence.

    In force under the Drug Court Act 1998.
  • Drug Summit Legislative Response Act 1999 No 67
    An Act to amend the Drug Misuse and Trafficking Act 1985 to enable the licensing and operation of a medically supervised injecting centre for a trial period of 18 months; to make related amendments to other Acts; to repeal the Drug Offensive Act 1987; and for other purposes.
