  • Di@yll - Drug Information @ Your Local Library
    The di@yll project is a joint initiative of NSW Health and the State Library of NSW to provide better access to current and credible drug and alcohol information through local libraries. It includes drug and alcohol resources, in hard copy and online, accredited by drug and alcohol experts and library staff.
  • Families and Friends affected by the drug or alcohol use of someone else
    This booklet contains information about how to look after yourself and support your family. It also gives you the facts about drug and alcohol use and drug dependence, and treatment options available to the drug affected person. Information about where to go for more support and help is also included. It's common for families and friends affected by the alcohol or other drug use of someone close to go through a lot of stress and times when it's hard to cope. 2004

This organisation aims to assist families throughout Australia to deal with drug issues in a way that strengthens relationships and achieves positive outcomes.

National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) : The Role of Families in the Development, Identification, Prevention and Treatment of Illicit Drug Problems
This review provides a useful overview that identifies the early intervention and treatment of illicit drug use. In addition, it provides insights into service and policy development that are of particular significance in the Australian context. This work was funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council under the National Illicit Drug Strategy and was managed by the Australian Institute of Family Studies. 2001
